- The Physical, Mental, Social Evaluation (PMSE) is to be provide too the facility for completion by the Physician at least three weeks prior to your scheduled court date to give ample time to complete. Be sure to note the completion date due back to APS and follow up on that date.
- Once received review for any errors and if errors are present another copy must be provided to complete with corrections. Do not discard the error copy and staff with counsel to determine if both should be filed.
- Once the PMSE is received provide a copy to legal counsel and the court appointed attorney for review.
- If APS Legal is attending court, APS Legal will file the PMSE when filing the granted180-day order. APS Legal will provide a copies to the APSS Specialist. If the APS Specialist is attending court without the assistance of APS Legal, the Specialist will file the PMSE and the granted 180-day order.
- The PMSE copy is not served to client or others entitled to notice.
- The PMSE is a separate legal document and must be file stamped. The filed stamped copy of the PMSE and 180-day order will be saved in the court orders related tab as separate documents.
